Cube Green Energy is an independent power producer and developer with specific focus on onshore wind farms and the implementation of PV and battery storage solutions across Europe. With a core mission to expedite Europe’s transition to a carbon-neutral economy, Cube Green Energy concentrates on repowering existing onshore wind farms, establishing novel renewable energy ventures, and deploying cutting-edge battery storage systems to enable a continuous supply of renewable energy.
Recently, the company announced the acquisition of a diverse portfolio that encompasses roughly 125 megawatts of operational onshore wind and PV solar capacity spread across 12 projects in Europe.
Throughout 2023, Cube Green Energy primarily focused on acquiring assets in key markets like Germany and France. This strategic move propelled its operational assets to nearly 150 megawatts, with a potential for exceeding 300 megawatts through ongoing efforts to upgrade older turbines with more efficient power generation technology. Once completed, these sites are expected to cater to the energy needs of over 200,000 households in these two countries.
Along with repowering the sites, it is also implementing PV solar and large-scale battery storage to optimize energy supply to the local grids, ensuring a consistent supply of renewable power. The company has also expanded its greenfield development pipeline, across various European countries, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Poland where it is pursuing potential onshore wind and PV solar farms over 1,500 megawatts. Additionally, Cube Green Energy has been on a recruitment drive in France and Spain, while establishing additional offices in Hamburg and Madrid to complement its existing presence in Berlin and London.
